ECHO aid of EUR 20 million to Congo

Brussels, 11/07/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has recently approved aid from the European Commission Humanitarian Aid Office (ECHO) of EUR 20 million. The aid will be for the vulnerable populations of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). For the year 2000, it covers medical and food aid to displaced populations and refugees, mainly the 45,000 Angolan refugees.
