Brussels, 24/05/2000 (Agence Europe) - Monday's General Affairs Council, which had a lengthy discussion on the present crisis in Africa (see yesterday's EUROPE, p.3), adopted a Joint Action extending its 1996 Joint Action on the nomination of Aldo Ajello as EU special envoy for the African Great lakes, responsible for helping the regions countries to resolve the crisis effecting them.
