Loan of EUR 60 million for Nancy tramway

Brussels, 24/05/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Investment Bank is granting a loan of EUR 60 million (FF 394 million) to the urban community of Grand Nancy for construction of its new tram network. The trams, mounted on tyres, will facilitate links between the centre of town and the outlying district. The EIB loan finances the construction of the first north-east/south line that will serve 28 stations next year on a section 11 km in length. "The loan from the EIB ties in with the bank's...
