ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) banking

The regional Japanese bank KOFUKU, declared bankrupt a year ago following net losses of 229.3 bn yen for the financial year closing 31 March 1999, has been taken over by the American firm WILBUR ROSS which will pay an immediate 30 bn yen for this acquisition.
