Council defines Commission mandate for negotiating revision of rules on waste transfer between OECD member countries

Brussels, 20/04/2000 (Agence Europe) - The Council recently defined the negotiating brief to be entrusted to the European Commission for negotiating, on behalf of the Union, changes to the rules of the OECD governing control of cross-border movements of waste for processing purposes (amendment of Decision C (92)39/final from OECD Council) as well as consolidation of a body of other OECD rules concerning cross-border movements of waste.
