Pure cocoa-butter chocolate may use a controlled designation of origin

Strasbourg, 20/04/2000 (Agence Europe) - In response to a question by Pasqualina Napoletano (Democratici di Sinistra), European Commissioner Franz Fischler has stated that, at the request of a Member State, chocolate made without the addition of vegetable fats other than cocoa butter may be given a Community registered designation: "Guaranteed traditional speciality".
