ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) stock exchange

The London stock exchange has confirmed that it is in talks concerning a possible merger with the Frankfurt exchange. The two markets quote some 3,300 companies (as opposed to 1,400 for EURONEXT, see EI of 22 March) with total market capitalisation of EUR 4,300 billion (2,400 for EURONEXT).
