ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) banks

Italy's UNICREDIT -UNICREDITO ITALIANO- is buying a majority share in SPLITSKA BANKA, Croatia's third largest bank, for around EUR 58 million. It will initially acquire 50.6% of the capital for 48 million euros from DAB, the national agency for the privatisation of Croatian banks, raising it subsequently to 62.6% via a reserved capital increase of EUR 10 million.
