Commission pursues infringement procedures against several Member States not complying with legislation on water pollution by farm nitrates

Brussels, 04/04/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has decided to pursue infringement procedures begun against Luxembourg, Finland, Portugal and the United Kingdom which continue not to comply with the demands of Directive 91/676/EEC relating to the protection of water against pollution by nitrates of agricultural origin. Here, for each case, is the infringement and the stage of the procedure:
