The British computer services firm CMG, specialised in telecommunications, has announced a public swap of £1.1 bn for its compatriot ADMIRAL. CMG is proposing exchanging 0.390625 per new CMG share for each ADMIRAL share. The new group to emerge from the operation will employ 11,000 people in 13 countries, representing a turnover of £779 million based on the 1999 figures.
