WINTERTHUR LIFE, the life-insurance subsidiary of the Swiss banking group CREDIT SUISSE is negotiating with the Australian financial services group COLONIAL in order to acquire its British life insurance branch. COLONIAL UK has £4.6 billion in funds under management with a clientele of 250,000.
