Trade negotiations begin on Thursday and Friday 6 and 7 April with Mercosur and 10 and 11 April with Chile - Goal to reach agreement by 2005 confirmed

Brussels, 04/04/2000 (Agence Europe) - Trade negotiations between the European Union and Mercosur will begin in Buenos Aires on Thursday 6 and Friday 7 April and negotiations with Chile in Santiago on 10 and 11 April. The negotiating committees will meet for two days and set up the structure, method and timetable for negotiations.
