ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) cable television

Canadian cable distributor VIDEOTRON has categorically rejected the counter-purchase bid of Can$5.88 billion made by QUEBECOR (press, printing). The QUEBECOR offer aims to prevent VIDEOTRON's merger with ROGERS COMMUNICATIONS, the largest private French-speaking television channel in Quebec. See E.I. of 10 February.
