For the First time, European Commission defines "Strategic Objectives" covering its five-year mandate

In compliance with the request of the European Parliament, the European Commission has defined its strategic objectives for the five years of its mandate. We here publish the full text of this document, complemented by:

- President Romano Prodi's press conference (see our daily bulletin of 10 February, pages 3 and 4);

- President Prodi's speech before the European Parliament, with the debate and his responses (see our daily bulletin of 16 February, pages 11, 12 and 13).
