Council decides conditional maintenance of cooperation and will closely follow the transition to democracy

Brussels, 16/02/2000 (Agence Europe) - The Council has decided to conclude consultations between the Union and the Federal Islamic Republic of the Comoros and to make continuing European cooperation with this ACP state conditional upon progress in the re-establishment of democratic principles and political rights.
