ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) insurance

The Japanese damage insurance company MITSUI MARINE has announced that it is pulling out of the planned merger with NIPPON FIRE and KOA FIRE AND MARINE INSURANCE which would have created Japan's leader in the sector, fearing that this alliance would have prevented it "maintaining its basic activities within the MITSUI group".
