Brussels, 16/02/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has asked Germany to recover a surplus of state aid totalling DEM 12.6 million (EUR 6.3 million) paid to the Kvaerner Warnow Werft (KWW) shipyards, a subsidiary of the Norwegian group Kvaerner. It observed that KWW had exceeded by 8,862 compensated gross tonnes its annual production capacity authorised for 1997 (85,000 cgt).
