Brussels, 03/02/2000 (Agence Europe) - By approving, with 383 in favour, 52 against and 88 abstentions, the report on the convening of the forthcoming Intergovernmental Conference on EU institutional reform tabled by its two co-rapporteurs, Giorgios Dimitrakopoulos (EPP) and Joe Leinen (German Social-Democrat), the European Parliament issued its opinion on 3 February, required by Article 48 of the Treaty, on the Convening of the IGC.
