Commission approves the arrangements of the BP/Mobil split, which called for the approval of the Exxon/Mobil merger

Brussels, 03/02/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European commission formally approved the dissolution of the lubricant and fuel company BP/Mobil, an operation that was requested last September in Brussels by the European Commission as a prerequisite for the authorisation of the merger in Europe between the American group ExxonMobil and the British group BP Amoco (see EUROPE of 30 September 1999).
