EIB rejects accusations of fraud and irregularities levelled by one of its former employees

Luxembourg, 19/01/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Investment Bank "categorically denies the allegations made by a former employee, Mr. Carlo De Nicola concerning fraud and significant losses in the Bank's treasury management between 1991 and 1994" (see EUROPE of 17/18 January, pp.14/15). In addition, despite the Commission's appeal against the EIB regarding Olaf, EIB/Commission cooperation is continuing as usual (see next article).
