ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) investment

The Dutch venture capital firm ALPINVEST will be merging with PARNIB, a subsidary of NIB -NATIONALE INVESTERINGSBANK. This merger follows the takeover of ALPINVEST by NIB CAPITAL for 23 euros per share. ALPINVEST was about to be sold to GIMV last November, but the operation fell through when NIB CAPITAL made a higher counter-bid. See EI of 25 November 1999.
