The Swedish telecommunictions group ERICSSON has sold for USD 725 million its subsidiary, ENERGY SYSTEMS (estimated sales of USD 500 million for 1999 with 2,200 employees in more than 20 countries in Europe, Latin America and Asia), specialised in power supplies and systems for telecommunications networks, to the American EMERSON ELECTRIC.
