In Italy, AIR LIQUIDE SANTA (French group AIR LIQUIDE) has taken over MEFAR, an aerosol manufacturer. AIR LIQUIDE SANITA, specialised in medical equipment for those with respiratory problems, had a turnover of 170 bn lira in 1998.
