Referrals to Court of Justice and reasoned opinions for five Member States' infringements of legislation on recognition of qualifications in the health professions

Brussels, 11/01/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has decided to pursue infringement proceedings against several Member States -Spain, Portugal, France, the Netherlands and Ireland- for infringement of Community legislation relating to recognition of diplomas and training for doctors, nurses, dentists and hospital administrators. A note from the Spokesman's Service explains the following.
