ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) food processing

In Iceland, ICELAND SEAFOOD and SIF, specialised in fish processing, have announced their plan to merge, thus giving birth to one of the largest operators worldwide in this sector with a consolidated turnover of around 50 billion Icelandic crowns in 1999 and 1700 employed.
