ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) software

The Taiwanese manufacturer TAIWAN MANUFACTURING CO has taken over two rivals, i.e. WORLDWIDE SEMICONDUCTOR, through an exchange of shares, and a company created as a joint-venture with ACER. These two acquisitions will enable it to increase its production capacity to 3.7 million slices of silicon in 2000.
