The French travel agency network PROTRAVEL has acquired 51% of the shares of its Belgian counterpart VIP INTERNATIONAL for an undisclosed amount. PROTRAVEL made a turnover of FF 3.36 billion in 1999 in France with 750 employed and over 7,000 client companies while VIP INTERNATIONAL is expected to make a turnover exceeding BF 1.8 billion in 1999 with 75 collaborators and 1600 client companies.
