In France, the wine-growing group GROUPE VAL D'ORBIEU (LA LANGUEDOCIENNE group, turnover FF 2.3 billion in 1999) has acquired from SUEZ INDUSTRIE the 49% stake of the company EDC - ETABLISSEMENTS DESIRE CORDIER (turnover FF 400 million in 1999) that it did not yet own.
