Baltic and Scandinavian countries support Commission in its plan to extend scope of European civil protection

On Tuesday 14 October, the order in which the European justice ministers took the floor spoke volumes about the stakes behind the revision of the civil protection mechanism proposed by the European Commission in March, with its ‘Preparedness Union Strategy’(see EUROPE B13608A1).
