EU imported almost €14.6 billion worth of green energy products, mostly from China

14/10/2025 (Agence Europe) – In 2024, the EU imported almost €14.6 billion worth of green energy products: 11.1 billion in solar panels, 2.9 billion in liquid biofuels and €0.5 billion in wind turbines, Eurostat revealed on 9 October (https://aeur.eu/f/ixx). The value of imported solar panels has fallen by 43% compared with 2023 - despite a slight increase in the weight imported (+2%) - and that of biofuels by 25%.
