Citizens’ initiative for safe and accessible abortion - Abir Al-Sahlani takes issue to European Parliament

On Monday 13 October, the European Parliament’s Committee on Women’s Rights and Gender Equality (FEMM) examined a question for oral answer and a motion for a resolution tabled following the citizens’ initiative ‘My Voice, My Choice: for Safe and Accessible Abortion’ (https://aeur.eu/f/iyn) (see EUROPE B13699A17).

Committee Chair Lina Gálvez (S&D, Spanish) welcomed the fact that a citizens’ initiative had reached the required threshold, a rare occurrence.
