EU Council and European Parliament make progress in negotiations on new genomic techniques

Negotiations between the European Parliament and the Danish Presidency of the Council of the EU on Tuesday 14 October on the proposal governing the use of new genomic techniques (NGTs) have enabled progress to be made on a number of important issues, including equivalence criteria (see EUROPE B13729A24).

The Danish Presidency of the Council of the EU has reaffirmed its commitment to reaching agreement with the European Parliament on key policy issues by the end of 2025.
