Green light for Boeing’s acquisition of Spirit

On Tuesday 14 October, the European Commission conditionally approved the acquisition of aerospace equipment company Spirit by aircraft manufacturer Boeing.

In response to the EU institution’s concerns about competition in the large commercial aircraft market segment, Boeing has proposed: - to sell to Airbus all of Spirit’s activities, which currently supply aerostructures to Airbus, including all necessary assets and personnel; - to transfer the Spirit site in Malaysia to the Malaysian...
