10/04/2024 (Agence Europe) – Members of the European Parliament, in collaboration with Insightec and patient advocacy groups, have signed a Joint Declaration aimed at officially recognising essential tremor as a disease, Insightec was pleased to announce in a press release published on Tuesday 9 April. The text calls on the next European Commission to prioritise innovation and patient care in the fight against this disease, which affects more than 50 million people worldwide. The Commission has been asked to include brain diseases such as essential tremor in the European health agenda, and to increase funding for research and development. Insightec, a global healthcare company, is creating the next generation of patient care by harnessing the therapeutic power of acoustic energy. (LC)
