10/04/2024 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 10 April, the European Innovation Council (EIC) announced that a first group of promising European companies had joined its ‘Scaling Club’. The aim of the ‘Scaling Club’ is to encourage promising companies to emerge as the next generation of highly valued European disruptive technology start-ups (or ‘unicorns’). The companies selected will receive support in terms of fundraising, mentoring and networking. At the same time, at the Ignition Forum event, Iliana Ivanova, European Commissioner for Research and Innovation, launched four initial market opportunities based on four themes: - digital security; - new generation computing; - mobility and transport; - renewable energies.
