Commission sends Italy reasoned opinion in case of concessions for management of sporting bets

Brussels, 17/10/2002 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday, the European Commission decided to send Italy a reasoned opinion formally asking it to respect Community law for allocating concessions for the management of sporting bets. Should the Italian authorities not comply within two months following reception of the opinion, the Commission could turn to the Court of Justice.
