Investigation is opened into proposed reform of corporate taxation in Gibraltar

Brussels, 17/10/2002 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has opened a formal investigation procedure into reform of company taxation laws that the British authorities plan to apply to Gibraltar. At the present stage of things, the Commission fears that this new regime would favour certain companies and therefore not be conform with rules on State aid.
