Commission approves Pirelli's acquisition of BICC's power cable plants in Italy and in the United Kingdom

Brussels, 19/07/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has given the go-ahead to Pirelli Cavi e Stistemi, subsidiary of the Italian group Pirelli specialised in the production and sale of cables in general and power cables in particular, to take over the power cable plants of BICC General in Italy and the United Kingdom. BICC General will retain its activities in Spain and Portugal.
