EIB grants 55 million euro loan to Tele Leste Celular, controlled by Iberdrola and Telefonica

Luxembourg, 19/07/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Investment Bank is granting a 55 million loan to Tele Leste Celular Participacoes (LTC) for the development of a cellular telecommunications network in the States of Bahia and Sergipe, northeastern Brazil. The loan is being granted to Telebabhia Celular and Telegripe Celular, subsidiary of Tele Leste Celular, itself controlled by the groups Iberdrola and Telefonica.
