Brussels, 19/07/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission spokesman for the field of competition, Mr. M. Tscherny, confirmed that Caio Koch-Weser, German State Secretary at the Finance Ministry, had informed Commissioner Mario Monti that the national working party that had examined the problem of State guarantees to State-owned German banks had not reached agreement.
