Culture Ministers to broach the question of the budget for Media Plus, in Lille on Thursday and Friday - Also on the menu, books and public television

Brussels, 19/07/2000 (Agence Europe) - the future of public television, the programme to support the audio-visual industry, "Media Plus", and the economy of the book industry in Europe are the three subjects chosen by France to inaugurate the work of the "Culture" Council, under its Presidency. The European Union's Culture Ministers are meeting in Lille on Thursday and Friday to debate these issues informally.
