France must bring its legislation into conformity with the European directive on patenting biotechnology inventions before end July

Brussels, 08/06/2000 (Agence Europe) - France is expected to amend its national legislation by end July to come into line with the European directive of 1998 on the patenting of biotechnological inventions, stated the spokesperson for European Internal Market Commissioner Frits Bolkestein on Thursday.
