Council to make its proposals to act on the mandate of the Lisbon Summit - New role for education linked to employment policies and social cohesion

Luxembourg, 08/06/2000 (Agence Europe) - Meeting in Council in Luxembourg under the Chairmanship of Guilherme de Oliveira Martins, the EU Ministers of Education turned to the new role of education in European life, as defined by the Lisbon Summit of last March, a role linked to employment policies and the policy of social cohesion.
