Conference of Presidents approves framework agreement with Commission

Brussels, 08/06/2000 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday evening, the Conference of Presidents of the political groups in the European Parliament was almost unanimous (less the vote of Jens-Peter Bonde, Chair of the Group of Europe of Democracy and Diversities) in adopting the framework agreement with the European Commission negotiated several months ago by the two institutions. EUROPE will be back with details.

Earlier, the EPP had tried to delay by one week the decision on the framework...
