ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) real estate

The German holding company WCM BETEILIGUNGS UND GRUNDBERITZ AG (pre-tax profit in 1999 of 235 million euro), specialised in real estate, has announced that in the autumn it would be making a public exchange bid to take control of the German steelworks KLOECKNER-WERKE (DM 4.2 bn turnover in 1998-99) in which it already has a 24% stake.
