Danish legislative initiative to promote police and justice cooperation to combat serious environmental crime

Brussels, 17/02/2000 (Agence Europe) - Based on the right of initiative the Treaty of Amsterdam gives to Member States in certain areas, Denmark has submitted a proposal for a Council framework decision on combating serious envrionmental crime.

The objective of the proposal is the approximation of national legislations to introduce effective police, criminal justice and administrative cooperation between Member States making it possible to prosecute all acts or omissions under aggravating...
