17/02/2000 (Agence Europe) - With its adoption of the report by Basque MEP Gorka Knörr Borras (Greens/EFA), Parliament approved the proposal for amendment of the 1993 regulation on application of the protocol on the excessive budget deficit procedure annexed to the Treaty of Maastricht. This proposal is essentially an update of definitions and assessments of certain economic operations.
