Commissioner Byrne announces several Commission initiatives to improve protection of animals

Brussels, 17/02/2000 (Agence Europe) - During the meeting between the Parliamentary intergroup responsible for Health and the Protection of Consumers, the European Commissioner David Byrne presented several initiatives that it intends implementing for the protection of animals- a subject that, taking into account the correspondence he receives, corresponds to a significant preoccupation for European citizens.
