French LAGARDERE has confirmed it has sold its Internet access service CLUB INTERNET to DEUTSCHE TELEKOM. According to the agreement, the French company sells 99.9% of the shares of its company in exchange for a 6.5% stake in T-ONLINE, the German subsidiary, via a capital increase. T-ONLINE (stock exchange value between EUR 15 and 17 billion) is currently the leader of the European Web access services with 4.2 million clients. See E.I. of 17 February.
