Parliament invites Commission to envisage introduction of "coherence control" of other EU policies with development policy

Strasbourg, 17/02/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Parliament, which adopted with an overwhelming majority - 425 in favour, 25 against and 13 abstentions - a resolution by the EPP/ED,, Socialist, Liberal, Greens/ALE and United Left/Nordic Left Groups, urges the Commission to publish without further delay an annual report on policy coherence in connection with development cooperation.
